Fat injection( fat transfer or fat grafting ) is a procedure that transfers fat from areas in which a person has excess fat, into the required areas. This procedure is used not only to rejuvenate the face, but to also perform breast augmentation, hip enlargement or treatment of depressed scar. Waist, thighs and abdomen may become a donor site for fat grafting.

The advantages of using fat cells of one's own are not to give a foreign substance to the body, reduce the chance of allergic reactions to foreign substances and utilize the beneficial effects of stem cells in the fat tissue. adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs) are considered to be ideal for application in regenerative therapies.
